A history of Belinda’s Stones, 1975 to today

I have a passionate love of natural stones. I have collected for over 40 years, locally and from my husband’s disused and overgrown gravel pit. I never tire of finding a new one, turning it over and over in my hand, feeling the shape and texture, enjoying the colours and then bringing it to life by painting an expressive pair of eyes.

Many customers return year after year to my stall in at Jubilee Market, Covent Garden, London WC2, I wish I had kept a photographic record of some of my more special pieces.
